Jonathan Horn - Journalist in San Diego

Jonathan Horn spent about 15 years as a journalist in San Diego, splitting that time between print and broadcast reporting. He covered local government and the economy for The San Diego Union-Tribune before landing a job as an on-air reporter for San Diego’s ABC 10-News. At ABC-10, Jon covered general news with an emphasis on politics and the economy and was nominated for two regional Emmy Awards. 

Jon is now a Community Relations Manager for the City of Carlsbad and teaches journalism at San Diego Mesa College. He holds a  master's degree in journalism from the USC Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism and a bachelor's degree in communication from UC Santa Barbara. Jon lives in San Diego County with his wife Jackie and son Benny.
